In order to apply for a Golden Residency Visa, prospective residents of Bahrain must meet the following criteria:
- Must be retired with a minimum monthly income of BHD 4,000 or the equivalent in another currency
- Must own one or more properties in Bahrain with a total purchase value of at least BHD 200,000
Conditions of golden residency in Bahrain
, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs. Sheikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, announced that the cost of golden residency does not exceed 300 Bahraini dinars.
He said during a press conference a while ago that the immediate golden residency requires the purchase of a property with a value exceeding 200,000 dinars.
He added that the golden residency is renewed once every 10 years, pointing out that the golden residency gives its holders the possibility to recruit domestic workers.
He stressed that the golden residency is granted to real estate owners, retirees and talented people.
:The following categories can obtain the golden residency immediate
– To own a property or a group of properties with a value of no less than 200,000 dinars.
To be a retiree from one of the world’s countries with a monthly income of 4,000 or more.
Talented people who meet the conditions for golden (immediate) residency.
He stressed that the golden residency in the Kingdom of Bahrain contains the following
– It is automatically granted the ‘golden residency’ only.
Enrollment visa is granted to the wife or husband, children and parents.
The residence permit holder has the right to work in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
– It is possible to recruit domestic workers.
Renewed once every 10 years.
